Usage of the plugin
The plugin defines a custom full view for metadata records and specific editor forms and validations for the profile.
The configuration of the editor is split in 4 views:
Basic view shows only the minimal set of fields to create minimal valid metadata records.
Dutch profile view provides optional and conditional elements from the Dutch profile, for example INSPIRE fields.
Full view enables to add and edit any fields as defined in iso19139
XML view is used to fix errors directly in the XML structure of the page.
Various validation sets are defined related to the Dutch Profile. These rulesets are maintained by GeoNovum and match those used in the GeoNovum Metadata validator. Note that an administrator can (de)activate some of these rulesets if they are not relevant to your use case.
Migrating metadata from previous profile version
A common use case is that you have records using an older profile version. To migrate them to the current version, verify that the installation of GeoNetwork has the older profile plugin installed. Open the record and select the operation as available in the box in the sidebar. Migration will not cover all the aspects of the new profile, so verify manually to complete the migration.
